When Calamity Strikes

What to do when we hit adversity? Most people complain, anger, and blame others. Actually, it does not help troubles. No matter how often we complain, trouble will not go away from us. We all have to prove it.

Complaining just mengarahan focus our thoughts on the negative. Our negative energy will only increase and this further damage and mental health. Should, when negative things happen to us, focus our minds kpada things positive that enlarge the soul.

Step # 1: Call Greatness of God

Hadith Ibn `Abbas.: That the Prophet. when crushed Troubles, he prayed: "No God but Allah, the Most Great, Clement, there is no god but Allah, Lord of the Throne nan Own Great, there is no god but Allah, Lord of all heaven, God's earth and God's Throne nan Honor". (Saheeh Muslim, No.4909)

When we remember the greatness of God, then no matter how big our problems must be small in the presence of Allah SWT. This will enlarge our souls. We will not be dwarfed in the face of adversity again that befall us. If we have bebesar hearts, then we will think big and act we will be able to overcome all difficulties.

Step # 2: the third night Berdo'alah

If the remaining third of the night Allah 'Azza wajalla the heavens down to earth and said: "Are there people who say to me will Kukabulkan? Is there anyone who beristighfar Me will Kuampuni his sins? Are there people who beg for my bread will Kuberinya provision? Are there people who beg freed from the difficulties experienced to handle problems? "That is (valid) until arriving at dawn (dawn). (Narrated by Ahmad)

When we remember the greatness of God, followed by the prayer juncture, God willing, our troubles will soon disappear. We already have a great spirit and we have hope because of our prayers will be granted by Allah SWT.

Step # 3: Helping People in hardship.

Whoever wants to do'anya granted and difficulties he must overcome to help people in hardship. (Narrated by Ahmad)

Often we say, "How to help others, we ourselves need help?"

Instead, by helping others that we will get help from God. We will avoid trouble if we avoid the difficulties of others.

Hopefully me and you, we all become servants of God who always remember the greatness of God, offer prayers in the third night, and trying to help people in the narrowness of the best we can. Amen.
